The club was formed in 2018 following the merger of Gildersome Cricket Club who were members of the Bradford Cricket League and Farnley Hill CC who were members of the Dales Council Cricket League. Both clubs were long established clubs in their own right however following years of uncertainty and lack of player interest both clubs were at a crossroads, amateur cricket had seen a general slump and with many clubs within a small radius it had led to some clubs struggling and eventually folding. Following a meeting between members of the 2 clubs it was clear that failure to act would inevitably lead to the potential demise of both clubs within a short period of time so it was unanimously decided to merge and retain the names of both clubs, we continue to play in the Bradford Premier League and play at Street Lane, Gildersome.

With the club now entering its 3rd season we have seen a fantastic resurgence both on and off the field, we are part of a thriving village sports club that is open all year round. 

We now have a strong committee made up from members of both original clubs and we are keen to strengthen both the senior and junior playing side of the club and also improve the playing facilities and surround, the future is rosy and we are all keen to develop. It is essential we try develop our junior cricket in the coming years however finding adults to run the teams remains a stumbling block, whilst we have successfully run Under 9 cricket it is the next step to U11 hard ball cricket where we have struggled leading to juniors leaving and playing elsewhere, it is vital for the long term future of the club that we fix this. All Stars Cricket developed by the ECB is another area we can now attract junior cricketers at a young age but again it requires adult coaching commitment which we currently lack, All Stars would further benefit the club as a whole attracting new families, parents, grand-parents to potential become new club members. We have the facilities we just need the resource.
